SIIMA 2018 Press Meet: A starry evening in Chennai

The South Indian International Movie Awards, popularly known as SIIMA is the biggest awards show of the season. The event credits and awards the brightest stars in the industry. The press meet and short film awards of SIIMA 2018 was held at Chennai today (24th August).
Speaking at the event the chairperson of SIIMA, Brinda Prasad said “This year we are happy to be hosting an event where fashion meets entertainment, with Pantaloons. We have been the top rated South Indian awards show for six years. This is our seventh year, and it’s a huge event where four film fraternities come for one big reunion” she also thanked actress Khushboo Sundar for constantly guiding the team. She credited Rana Daggubati as someone who belongs to the SIIMA family.
Actress Anjali took to the event to speak about her first time experience with SIIMA and said how glad she is to come on board. Actress Nikki Galrani said just like everyone else she is looking forward to a two-day vacation by attending the big award show.

Former Bigg Boss contestant and actress Raiza Wilson said the director of her first successful film, the recently released Pyaar Prema Kaadhal, also began his journey with short films, and that she is glad that SIIMA is having an awards show for short films.

Speaking at the launch Khushboo Sundar spoke about how founders Vishnu Induri and Brinda, have worked hard to bring SIIMA 2018 to life.
Rana Daggubati, who has been closely associated with SIIMA over the last few years said “SIIMA is meriting short filmmakers, and this is very good for the industry” he also said how he is looking forward to take part in the main event as well. He also presented the trailer of his latest production Care of Kancharapalem which has been directed by Maha Venkatesh.
This year SIIMA has been associated with the online digital platform VIU and the fashion giant Pantaloons. SIIMA 2018 will be held in Dubai on September 14 and 15. Earlier, SIIMA announced that the ticket sale revenue generated from the show will be contributed towards the Kerala flood Relief Fund.
