Director Vetrimaaran‘s Vada Chennai has opened to fantastic reviews at the box-office. Critics have rated the movie five stars and have been calling it an epic. Starring actors just as Dhanush, Ameer, Andrea, Kishore. Samuthirakani, Pawan and Aishwarya Rajesh, the film has been raved for it’s rawness, and amazing performances by the actors. As the first part of the trilogy has opened to theatres, here are some facts you need to know about the film.
1. Vetrimaaran wrote a 1000-page script for Vada Chennai. As time progressed, he made several variations in the story.
2. Dhanush and Vetrimaaran first decided to work in Vada Chennai way back after Polladhavan (2007). But things took charge when Dhanush became the producer of the film.
3. Vada Chennai is set to be a trilogy. Vetrimaaran shot the first part of the film in 29 months.
4. Simbu was set to play the lead role in the film. However, things didn’t progress.
5. Some reports suggest that Vetrimaaran tried to rope in actresses Samantha and Amala Paul for playing one of the leads in the film.
