Director Anjali Menon is someone who has depicted the value of relationships so skillfully in her films. Be it, her film Ustad Hotel (screenwriter) or Bangalore Days, her films are often a reflection of life. She is now back with Koode! Koode stars Prithviraj, Nazriya and Parvathy. As the film is set to release on 14th July, we give you five reasons to watch this film.

1. Sibling love

Trust in Anjali Menon to portray the beauty of relationships. If we loved Divya, Kuttan and Aju’s bond in the film Bangalore Days, then Koode will introduce us to Joshua and Jenny, played by Prithviraj and Nazriya. The song Minnaminni, portrays the heart-warming brother-sister bond which is sure to want to give your sibling a call! We’re also loving Prithviraj and Nazriya’s amazing on-screen sibling love.

2. Anjali Menon’s slice of life tale

Anjali Menon is known for her terrific writing, which even won her the National award for Best Dialogues for the film Ustad Hotel. Her stories often coming-of-age dramas which feature relatable and realistic scenes. In an interview, she said how important it is for her to write what she believes in, irrespective of the gender of the characters. It is also important for women to relate to the characters. Perhaps, that’s what makes it so interesting. Koode will explore family relationships, it will have good music and humor as well.

3. Nazriya Nazim

If there is one actress Mollywood cinema has missed over the last few years, it is Nazriya Nazim. Last seen in Anjali Menon’s Bangalore Days (2014), Nazriya Nazim, is all set to return to cinema with Koode. The first video song was released with the hashtag, #welcomebackNazriya, where Nazriya looked radiant brimming with positivity. We can’t wait to see her play the role of Jenny.

4. Prithviraj and Parvathy’s on-screen chemistry

Prithviraj and Parvathy’s on-screen chemistry won our hearts in Ennu Ninte Moideen and the recently released film My Story, the talented duo will be as lovers in Koode as well. What’s more? Koode is Prithviraj’s 100th film! That’s quite something, isn’t it? Meanwhile, in a video on the film’s official page, Parvathy spoke about her character in the film. She described that Sophie is a strong and independent woman who belongs to an affluent family. However, there’s a lot more to her character which will be understood only after one watches it.

5. Koode’s talented team

Want to see the fun the team of Koode had while shooting for the film? Well, the makers have posted a behind-the-scenes video which shows us a glimpse of the fun the team had. While everyone from Anjali Menon to Nazriya are seen with lollypops in their hand while preparing for scenes, they are also seen playing with a furry dog. Sounds amazing isn’t it?
