In 2018, Mollywood cinema saw Mohanlal‘s son Pranav make his debut, and so did Jayaram‘s son Kalidas – and two did impressive roles in their films. Pranav Mohanlal

Son of Mollywood megastar Mohanlal, Pranav Mohanlal‘s first full-fledged role in a film is director Jeethu Joseph‘s Aadhi. After working on films as an assistant director, Pranav made an impressive debut in Aadhi, an action-adventure which was much appreciated. The film went on to run over 100 days in theatres and became one of the highest-grossing films this year.

Kalidas Jayaram

Son of actor Jayaram, Kalidas Jayaram may have appeared as a child artist in films in the past, however, Poomaram was his full-fledged role in a film. The film was based on Kalolsavam of MG University, the film won attention from fans and critics.

Saniya Iyyappan

The cute actress impressed all with her performance in the film Queen, which became a box-office hit! She played the role of a college student who decides to study mechanical engineering and later realises that she is the only girl in the batch. She later went on to star in Pretham 2.

Samuel Abiola Robinson

A native of Nigeria, Samuel made his debut in the Malayalam film Sudani from Nigeria. The film won accolades from audience and critics, and so did Samuel! Director Zakariya had tracked him down and decided to cast him with the help of a casting agency in Africa. He will soon be seen in the film Oru Caribbean Udayippu which will release in 2019.
