Today, superstar Rajinikanth met actor and DMDK chief Vijayakanth at his residence to inquire about his health. This is following his recent return from the United States, after undergoing treatment for his ill health. Pictures of the two have gone viral on social media and it has led fans to speculate if the two will join hands for politics. However, the two have rubbished it. Speaking to the press Rajinikanth ”Vijayakanth is in good health now and I pray to God to always grant him good health”. He refused to answer any of the questions asked by the press.

Rajinikanth has recently stated that his party ‘Rajini Makkal Mandram‘ will not contest in the Lok Sabha elections. While Vijayakanth, who started his political party Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK) Political party has served as the Member of Legislative Assembly in the past.
Rajinikanth and Vijayakanth have enjoyed tremendous success in the 80s and 90s. The two have starred together in the film Manathil Uruthi Vendum. The didn’t appear for a scene together, as they only featured in cameo roles to shake a leg with the film’s lead Suhasini (1.21 min).
