4 Telugu movies which are being remade in Hindi

When Salman Khan had a dull phase in his career, he decided to star in Wanted (2009), the remake of the Telugu film Pokkiri (2006). The film went on to collect big bucks at the box-office, and even went on to win Salman Khan praises in the Hindi film industry. Since then, Bollywood is keen on remaking popular Telugu films. In recent news, it has been confirmed that Shahid Kapoor will star in the remake of the popular Telugu film Arjun Reddy. But that isn’t the only film which is being remade. Here are a list of films being remade.

Arjun Reddy

Arjun Reddy earned Vijay Deverakonda the title of Tollywood’s ‘rowdy’ – a flamboyant guy with immense swag. The film reinvented the concept of what love-failure meant in films. The film told the tale of a young man, who turns into an alcoholic with anger management issues after a heartbreak. Now, the film is being remade in Hindi with Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani in leading roles. It will be directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga who directed the original. The film has been titled Kabir Singh.

RX 100

RX 100 is one of Tollywood’s surprise hits of the year. A love story that boasted of amazing performances, unconventional climax and a soulful songs went on to win the hearts of Telugu film lovers. Popular film producer Sajid Nadiadwala is now remaking the film in Hindi. Suniel Shetty’s son, Ahan Shetty will make his film debut with the remake of RX 100. The rest of the cast and crew are yet to be finalized.

Kirik Party

Originally made in Kannada first, Kirik Party went on to work well at the box office in Telugu as well. The Hindi remake of the film will be directed by Abhishek Jain, who produced the National award-winning film Wrong Side Raju (2016). It will star Jacqueline Fernandez and Kartik Aaryan.

Temper

One of this year’s most awaited films in Bollywood is Simba. Starring Ranveer Singh in the lead, this film is being directed by Bollywood’s most-bankable director Rohit Shetty. The film is a remake of Jr. NTR‘s Temper which revolved around a corrupt officer and how a rape case changes his life. The film will see Ranveer Singh as cop, while Sara Ali Khan will play the female lead.
