The 22nd edition of the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards took place over the weekend of June and included some high energy musical performances in IIFA Rocks. On awards night, on June 4th, awards were presented for categories covering a range of topics.

Bollywood celebrities including Salman Khan, Shahid Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Vicky Kaushal, Kriti Sanon, Ananya Panday, Sara Ali Khan, AR Rahman, Tiger Shroff, Nora Fatehi, Yo Yo Honey Singh attended the event making it glamorous.
The 2021 biographical war film Shershaah, based on the life of Captain Vikram Batra, was awarded the Best Picture and Vishnu Varadhan was awarded Best Director for the same film. It was a big win for Vicky Kaushal and Kriti Sanon at IIFA. They took home the Best Actor and Best Actress trophies, recognising their incredible performances in Sardar Udham and Mimi respectively.
