In an impressive gesture, actor Mohanlal flew in from Portugal to Chennai a few days ago to attend the 80’s reunion. Actors-turned-friends who belong to the film industry from the 80s attended the reunion. The theme of the 9th annual reunion was denim and diamonds, and actors looked their best in the mentioned theme. Women even wore denim sarees at the event. The other actors who attended the event include Jackie Shroff, Arjun, and Khushboo among others.

12 male stars arrived one by one, looking their best in white shirts and blue jeans. However, Mohanlal’s embroidered designer white shirt with the number 80 at the back and the front of his white shirt stood out. Actress Poonam Dhillon gifted all the 22 and also the 8 other stars who were held up due to shooting, with personalized mobile phone covers with their individual photos and names, all the stars were made to play a game of dumb charades guessing the names and winning their respective gifts.

The ladies performed to the Telugu song Inkem Inkem from Geetha Govindam. Mohanlal conducted a Kerala Onam boat race to the tune of a traditional song. Rajkumar Sethupathy , Suhasini Maniratnam , Khushboo, Poornima and Lissy Lakshmi played the perfect hosts. The reunion ended with the actors cutting a cake and the 80’s club deciding to meet again to celebrate the 10th reunion in 2019 in a new city.
