Prakash Raj slams Kamal Haasan for not supporting Kaala

Earlier this week, actor-politician Kamal Haasan met the chief minister of Karnataka Kumaraswamy to discuss the on-going Cauvery water distribution issue and to discuss the relationship between the two states.

Kamal Haasan took to Twitter to tweet, “Your warm hospitality and openness in discussing the Cauvery issue & various other issues concerning our two states is fully reciprocated sir. I assure you I will do my best in being a trustworthy bridge between Karnataka & Tamil Nadu. Thank you for a heartwarming meeting.”

However, despite the appreciation he gained, Kamal Haasan also found himself at the receiving end of criticism for not speaking about the Kaala ban in Karnataka.

Actor Prakash Raj slammed Kamal Haasan for his lack of support ”He has his own reasons to not raise the issue but he should also realize that when his film Vishwaroopam was banned, he wanted the entire world to stand by him. But I feel it is my responsibility and we cannot let this happen to any film.”

Yesterday actor Prakash Raj took to his social media account to say ”Actor Rajinikanth has hurt us deeply. Yes, I agree. In order to express our dissent, a few organizations have called for a ban on the film. Is that what we Kannadigas want?” The opinion comes as a reaction to the pro-Kannada organizations imposing a ban on the release of Rajinikanth‘s upcoming film Kaala, based on the actor’s statement on the Cauvery Issue.
