The trailer of Mohanlal’s Neerali ends in a cliffhanger

Mohanlal fans are certainly rejoicing as the trailer from his upcoming film, Neerali, has been released on his birthday, 21st May. Directed by debutant Ajay Varma, the 2-minute trailer guarantees suspense and action! The trailer starts off by establishing Sunny (Mohanlal) as a jolly-good guy, his pregnant wife (Nadhiya) begins to panic in the labour room, waiting for his arrival. In another scene, she asks him if he’s having an extramarital affair, and then we are introduced to Parvati Nair. The trailer gets engaging when Sunny’s car derails and ends on the edge of a cliff. While his co-passenger (played by Suraj Venjaramoodu) lays unconscious, Mohanlal begins to scream for help. Interesting isn’t it?

Mohanlal had shared the first look of Neerali earlier this year when he was shooting for the film in Mumbai. Following it, the makers of the film release a short teaser, and two posters from the film, all these had one thing in common – Sunny (Mohanlal) looked like he’s in distress which induced a level of thrill in the eyes of the viewers.

The film marks the collaboration of Mohanlal and Nadiya Moidu, after 30 years. The two had last worked together in the film Nokkatha Doorathe Kannum Nattu. The film also stars Sai Kumar, Dileesh Pothen, Nassar and Megha Mathew.
