The production work for director RS Vimal‘s ambitious project Mahavir Karna has begun! He took to his Facebook page to state that the pooja for the film took place on Monday evening (3rd December). The interesting part of his announcement? The construction of a 30-feet chariot for the film. The pooja also had a temple bell which is going to be a part of the huge chariot. The auspicious event was attended by Suresh Gopi, Indrans and B Unnikrishnan among others.
#MahavirKarna starts from the land of Sree Padmanabha.

The chariot is currently being built at Hyderabad’s Ramoji Film city. The mythological drama is said to be made on a budget of 300 crores, making it bigger than Baahubali. The makers of the film have also stated that the film will boast of splendid VFX which will be worked upon by national and international studios.
While Vikram has been roped in to play the lead role in the film, it is speculated that several Bollywood and Hollywood actors too will be part of the film. Vikram is working with stunt directors and trainers to get a specific look for the film. Prithviraj was approached to play the role of Karna. However, he backed out citing date issues.
The film marks RS Vimal’s second directorial after Ennu Ninte Moideen (2015).
