Actor John Vijay accused of sexual harassment

Actor John Vijay, who predominantly works in Tamil films in supporting roles has been accused of sexual harassment. Singer Chinmayi, took to her Twitter account to retweet/share an incident reported by VJ Sriranjani, who is the wife of popular Television actor Amit Bhargava. In the post Sriranjani stated that John Vijay is a compulsive pervert.

“Actor John Vijay is a complusive pervert and I’ve personally cautioned a few girls who have interned with his agency at different times over the last few years. I did a fun interview tih him and out of the blue, about a month later, he called up in the middle of the night and said he was upset that I handn’t informed him about when it was telecast. I was half asleep and said I’d call him the next day. But he pursued the conversation obviously hinting at the possibility of phone sex. When I couldn’t politely decline anymore, I threatened to his wife which is when he dropped it and that was the last time we interacted outside of a public setting. In fact, I’ve heard him say first hand that when was shooting for Kabali in Malaysia, he’d ask girls for kisses in a funny, casual way when they came for selfies. Girls like a sense of humor but not when it comes to such thing,” concluded Sriranjani.”

In another post shared by Journalist Sandhya Menon, a woman said that Tamil actor John Vijay, best friend of the found of Happy McGarryBowen ad agency (who is also accused in sexual harassment), behaved inappropriately when he was drunk. She said ”At 5 am, a well, inebriated John enters our room where four of us girls are in bed. he plopped himself and refused to leave, we all tried to stay awake, I dozed of. and so did others. Only to be woken up by a hand on my breast.”
