After 34 years Rajinikanth and Mahendran team up

Director Mahendran who was seen in films such as Theri and Nimir is the latest addition to the cast of Petta. Director by Karthik Subbaraj, the film stars Rajinikanth in the lead. Interesting, this film be the first time in 34 years that Rajinikanth and Mahendran are teaming up. The last time this happened was when Mahendran directed Kai Kodukum Kai (1984) with Rajinikanth in the lead. The duo have also teamed up for Mullum Malarum (1978) and Johnny (1980).

Petta is one of the most-awaited films in Tamil cinema at the moment. Apart from them, the film also stars Simran, Trisha, Bollywood Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Bobby Simha among others. The music of the film has been composed by Anirudh.
