Actor Siddharth even took to his Twitter to state that he does support Leena, and also stated that Susi Ganesan threatened his family not to do so.

Now, in recent events, actress Amala Paul too has come in support of Leena. In her statement, Amala Paul says “I support Leena Manimakalai’s allegations and can imagine this episode happening with her, from a man who has twisted set of moral values and utterly low respect for women. She being an aspiring director could have made her an easy target for such an incidence to take place.”

She went on to say that she experiences of working in director Susi Ganesan’s Thiruttu Payale 2 was mentally exhausting.
She said ”Me too despite being the lead actress for ‘Thirutupayale 2’ was subjected to double meaning talks, misrepresented offers and unchivalrous bodily contacts. This pretty much made my experience of shooting TP2, a menatally fatiguing one. I can totally understand what she could have been subjected through.”

The Me Too Movement is currently the most talk-about topic on social media and otherwise, where women are sharing their experiences of dealing with harassments and sexual misconducts by their colleagues or people in power. Singer Chinmayi has accused lyricist Vairamuthu of misconduct. She has gained support from Vishal, Varalakshmi, Samantha and Aditi Rao.

After conveying her stance, Amala Paul took to Twitter to say that director Susi Ganesan and his wife Manjari call her and hurled abuses, after which they two began to laugh and slut shame her.
