Arjun Kapoor to star in the Bollywood remake of Premam

Actor Nivin Pauly won the hearts of several south Indians after he appeared as George in the film Premam which release in 2015. Directed by Alphonse Puthren, the film told the tale of George who finds love in different phases of his life – adolescence, college days and adulthood. The film went on to become a blockbuster, in Kerala as well as Tamil Nadu earning Nivin Pauly instant recognition. The film was directed in Telugu by Chandoo Mondeti, and starred Naga Chaitanya in the lead. The film became a hit with the Telugu audience as well.

We now hear that Premam is headed to Bollywood, and it is said to star Arjun Kapoor in the lead. The film will be directed by Abhishek Kapoor. It also has to be noted that Arjun Kapoor has been approached to play the lead in the Hindi remake of the hit Telugu film, Arjun Reddy.

Arjun Kapoor is currently shooting for his upcoming film Namastey England along with his Ishaqzaade co-star Parineeti Chopra.
