Ruhi Dilip Singh first made her debut in the Hindi film Calendar Girls. She later went on to make her Tamil film debut in Bongu. All was well in her personal and professional life until the media misidentified another actress named Ruhi who was involved in an accident. Television actress Ruhi Shaileshkumar Singh met with an accident while she was driving the car in an inebriated state. After being caught by the police, she even went on to abuse the police officer.
However, certain sections of the media carried pictures of Bongu actress Ruhi Singh along with the news. The actress noticed the error and issued a statement which said ”“I am very shocked and confused and highly disappointed, and surprised as well. Because these mainstream media houses didn’t check their facts before using my pictures, which has done irreparable damage to my reputation. I am really angry and I am going to take legal action. It’s shameful that they never checked the facts and they are running the story with my name and photograph. There’s a video that clearly shows who was involved in the incident and they are still tagging me. It looks like an attempt to ruin my career.”
