What does Samantha think about the Me Too movement?
Share
The Me Too movement has hit ground in India, and several women are taking to their Twitter account to share their harrowing experiences of dealing with it. Singer Chinmayi went on to retweet and share details about lyricist who has been accused of sexual misconduct. She later went on to retweet information about actor TM Karthik, who has now been accused of harassing a woman, groping her. Like Chinmayi, several women are taking to their social media space to offer support through several ways such as mental health assistance and legal assistance.
Actress Samantha too took to her Twitter to offer support and strength to women. She also went on to say that she supports the movement. Her Tweet stated ”1/2)I am so happy that more and more women are finding the strength to say #MeToo. Your bravery is commendable . I am sorry though that some people ,even other women themselves will shame and burden you with the question of proof and doubt. Just know that you are saving, (2/2) many little girls with your voice . Thankyou . I support the #MeTooIndia movement”.
