”You completely surprised me and made me believe once again” says Koode director Anjali Menon

Director Anjali Menon‘s Koode which released last Saturday has opened to positive response from audience and critics alike. A heart-warming tale which speaks about relationships, Koode stars Prithviraj, Naziya Nazim and Parvathy in leading roles. In her blog post Anjali Menon wrote about how she has been inspired to make this film.She wrote ”Koode is an adaptation of the original story by Sachin Kundalkar. I am honoured that he trusted me with the story and it has been a rich learning experience for me. For those who have seen the original please be prepared to see a different interpretation. I humbly request our audience and media to not share that element in their reviews so that everyone may experience the movie first hand.”

After the release of the film, Anjali Menon took to her Facebook page to share about her happiness based on the response of the film. She posted ”thank you so much. I don’t know what else to say to so much love that has been showered on Koode. Yes, it is a very different film from the past work and ofcourse I was nervous about it. But you completely surprised me and made me believe once again in Jenny’s words – “Sneham aanenkil okke simple aanu. On behalf of our cast & crew – a heartfelt thank you to you all. Most of all thank you for keeping an open mind. Humbled. Much love.”

Written and directed by Anjali Menon, Koode sees Nazriya Nazim and Prithviraj playing siblings, while Parvathy plays Prithviraj’s love interest in the film. Koode is bankrolled by Renjith under the banner Rejaputhra Visual Media and Anjali’s Little Films India.
