Actress Samantha who’s having a fantastic year with three hit films is now awaiting the release of her fourth film this year, U Turn. A remake of the Kannada film of the same name, and helmed by director Pawan Kumar, the film will see Samantha play the role of a journalist.

During the promotion of the film, the actress credited her success to the director of her debut film Gautham Menon. She said ”Gautham Menon told me the right and wrong of acting, he is my first teacher and gave me that foundation. I am what I am today because of him”

Samantha and Gautham MenonThe two have worked together in Ye Maaya Chesave, Neethaane En Ponvasantham and it’s Telugu version Yeto Vellipoyindhi. Samantha won the Filmfare award for her role in the film Ye Maaya Chesave. She won the Nandi award for her performance in Yeto Vellipoyindhi.

U Turn is expected to hit screens on September 13th. Her husband Naga Chaitanya‘s film Sailaja Reddy Alludu will also release on the same date.
