Director Shankar is currently busy with the post-production of India’s most-anticipated film 2.0 starring Rajinikanth in the lead. However, that hasn’t stopped him from watching other Tamil films made by new-age directors. The ace director recently took to Twitter to share his opinion about the films. Directed by Prem Kumar ’96 starred Trisha and Vijay Sethupathi. The film revolved around the reunion of two former lovers who bond over the memories that led to their separation. The film was highly praised for its stunning portrayal of love, the strong performances and the music by Govind Vasanth. While the other film Ratsasan is a psycho-thriller directed by Ramkumar, starring Vishnu Vishal in the lead. The film revolved around the disappearance of school girls, and a police officer’s quest to trace the psycho-killer who is behind it. The film had everyone at the edge-of-their-seats because of the riveting story.
Trisha took to Twitter and thanked director Shankar for his positive feedback. His film 2.0 is now one of the highest-viewed teasers on YouTube. Apart from Rajinikanth, the film stars Akshay Kumar who is said to play the antagonist in the film. It is promoted as ‘India’s first 75 million dollar VFX wonder’.
