Double delight for Samantha

The last time we saw Samantha‘s films release on the same date, it was in the month of May, when Mahanati and Irumbu Thirai released on 11th May. Now, this will repeat once again when her films Seema Raja and U Turn will release on 13th September. While Seema Raja will release in Tamil, U Turn releases in Tamil and Telugu.

Directed by Ponram, Seema Raja features Sivakarthikeyan as the protagonist and Samantha as the female lead in the film. Whereas her film U Turn will see her play the lead. Helmed by Pawan Kumar, who has also directed the Kannada version, this film will revolve around the mysterious deaths of motorists who die breaking rules on a particular flyover. The film also stars Bhumika Chawla and Adhi Pinisetty in pivotal roles. During the promotions of her film, U Turn Samantha said ”The audience don’t want to know which actor or actress is a part of the film, the only thing they want to know, is if the film is content oriented.”

What makes this week even special for Samantha is that her husband, Naga Chaitanya’s film Sailaja Reddy Alludu will also release on 13th September. Directed by Maruthi, this film also stars Ramya Krishnan and Anu Emmanuel.
