In pictures: Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan at the launch of IFFI 2019

The 50th edition of the International Film Festival (IFFI) has begun in Panaji, Goa. The opening ceremony was attended by Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan.
It also saw a host of stars including director Priyadarshan, producer Siddharth Roy Kapur among others. It was also attended by ministers Prakash Javadekar, Amit Khare and Pramod Sawant. One of French cinema’s popular and iconic actors, Isabelle Huppert is also a part of IFFI 2019. She will be honoured with the lifestyle achievement award at the opening ceremony. While the event will honour Rajinikanth with the Icon Award of #IFFIGoldenJubliee.
Some of the films which will be screened at the ceremony include Oththa Seruppu Size 7 (Tamil), Kolaambi (Malayalam), Uyare (Malayalam), Jallikettu (Malayalam) and House Owner (Tamil).
