Kangana Ranaut’s movie, ‘Thalaivi’ scheduled to be released on 10 September 2021
Thalaivi, the biopic of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalitha, starring Kangana Ranaut, is all set to hit the theatres and OTT platforms shortly. It was officially launched on Jayalalitha’s birth anniversary i.e. 24 Feb 2019 with different titles in different languages.
The film was scheduled to be released on 23 April 2021. But later, the release date was postponed innumerable times due to the rising cases of Covid-19 which led to theaters being shutdown.
Now, finally after a long waiting period, the most awaited movie is all set to be released on 10 September 2021.
The movie revolves around the life of an actress and politician, J. Jayalalitha who served six times as the chief minister of Tamil Nadu.
Directed by the ardent filmmaker, A. L. Vijay, the story aims to leave a personal and familiar impression in the hearts of the audience. The scenes used in Vijay movies usually reflect the local culture making it easier for the people to immerse themselves and relate to the sites.
The leading role is to be played by Kangana Ranaut who is one of the most talented and versatile actresses of our country today. She started preparing for the role in 2019 in the month of May. It has been reported that she will be seen in four different looks during the entire movie.
The film will focus on the journey of a woman who has been successful in a male-dominated world. The most beautiful thing about her is that she is a powerful minded, strong willed woman who is an inspiration to many.
The movie is shot and is being released in three different languages namely Tamil, Hindi and Telugu. It was decided to keep the title Thalaivi in Tamil and Jaya in Hindi and Telugu. But, later it was decided to keep it Thalaivii in all the languages.
The storyline of Thalaivii is written by K Vijayendra Prasad and is translated by Madhan Karky and Rajat Arora in Tamil and Hindi respectively.
The movie is produced by Vishnu Vardhan Induri and Shailendra R Singh.
