Keerthy Suresh wins Sensation of South award

Ever since the release of her film Mahanati (Nadigaiyar Thilagam in Tamil), Keerthy Suresh has been receiving accolades for performance in the film. The story told about the life and career of the late actress Savitri, who is hailed as India’s first superstar. After her film won the ‘Equality in cinema‘ award at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne, Keerthy Suresh has now been awarded the Sensation of South award by JWF, a popular magazine publication.
Dressed in a stunning maroon Kankatala saree, the actress channeled an old-world charm with her curls and accessorized her look with Amrapali earrings. She took to her Twitter account to say ”Proud & humbled to be one among the woman achievers from various fields. An opportunity where I got to know an inspiring world apart from Cinema. Keerthy Suresh attended the event a day after promoting her film Saamy 2 at the SIIMA in Dubai.
Directed by Hari, Saamy 2 stars Vikram in the lead role. The film is set to hit screens on 21st September. She has also signed director SR Prabhakaran’s rural entertainer starring Sasikumar in the lead.
