Did you know that R. Madhavan backed out of Simmba?

Director Rohit Shetty‘s Simmba which stars Rohit Shetty and Sara Ali Khan in the lead is all set to hit the screens on 28th December. The trailer and songs are creating a positive buzz for the film. Apart from it being inspired from the Telugu film Temper, the film has another south Indian connect to it. Did you know that Madhavan was initially set to be a part of the film. He was set to play the antagonist in the film, however, due to his injury he had to back out of the film. In March he posted ”Hey folks .. So I am a huge crazy fan of Rohit Shetty and his films. As is my son. It breaks both our hearts that I’m not able to be a part of this film because of my injury. I’m well on my way to recovery but this is a huge opportunity and excitement lost.??”

It is rumored that Madhavan will reprise his role in the Hindi remake of Vikram Vedha. Madhavan also made his Telugu debut this year with Savyasachi. Are you a fan of Madhavan?
