Manju Warrier and G. V. Prakash are the new additions to Dhanush’s Asuran

The last time director Vetrimaaran and Dhanush teamed up, they created cult films such as Pollathavan, Aadukalam and the more recently, Vada Chennai. Now, the duo have teamed up for the film Asuran, the shoot of which will begin on 26th January. The poster of the film revealed Dhanush’s look, which indicated that this will be a free new role in his film career.

Now, the two new additions to the film are Malayalam actress Manju Warrier and G. V. Prakash. While Manju Warrier will play the female lead in the film, G. V. Prakash will compose the music for the film. He has previously worked on Polladhavan and Adukalam, both of which delivered super hit soundtracks. Taking to his twitter account Dhanush tweeted “#asuran – update .. the evergreen Manju Warrier will be playing the female lead. Excited to share screen space and learn from this amazing talent.”

Dhanush last appeared in the 2018 films Maari 2 and Vada Chennai. Apart from Asuran, he is also busy with his directorial which stars Aditi Rao and Nagarjuna.
