Mohanlal meets Prime Minister Modi to speak about ViswaSanthi

Actor Mohanlal recently met up the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi to discuss the ongoing social issues and idea to better them. Mohanlal met the PM in regards to ViswaSanthi, a foundation started by Mohanlal on his birthday this year. He tweeted ”It has been a privilege to meet our Honourable Prime Minister Shri. @narendramodi ji on this auspicious day of Janmashtami. Briefed him about @ViswaSanthiFndn and our multifaceted social initiatives.”

He also invited the PM for the Global Malayalee Roundtable that aims to formulate futuristic solutions for a New Kerala. In return, PM Modi appreciated the foundation’s Cancer Care initiative which will help the underprivileged.
He tweeted ”He has assured all support and offered to participate in the Global Malayalee Roundtable that can formulate futuristic solutions for a New Kerala. Hon. PMO India has also appreciated our vision to set up a Cancer Care Centre to cater to the needs of the underprivileged.
According to the website, ViswaSanthi Foundation was started with the objective of creating and delivering high impact and focussed programs to the underprivileged sections of the society in the areas of healthcare and education.
The foundation began in May this year. Mohanlal posted “Usually on my birthday, my thoughts go around my parents. I took the name Viswa Shanthi from my father and mother names. Viswanathan Nair and Shantha Kumari are their names. I request all my fans and well-wishers to be a part of the foundation. It is going to be a big birthday gift for me.”
