We had previously reported that Simran will be cast opposite Rajinikanth in Karthik Subbaraj‘s next film. Now, the news if official! It will be the first time Simran and Rajinikanth will be teaming up for a film. Not just that, Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui will also make his Tamil film debut in this film.

Taking to their official Twitter handle Sun Pictures confirmed the casting with the tweet. “We are happy to announce that for the first time, @SimranbaggaOffc and @Nawazuddin_S will be acting with Superstar Rajini in #SuperstarWithSunPictures,”

Interestingly, in 2016, the director of the film, Karthik Subbaraj tweeted to Nawazuddin Siddiqui quizzing him about his Tamil film debut. Now, in 2018, his tweet has turned to reality. Amazing, isn’t it?

It has to be noted that Nawazuddin previously denied that he is a part of this movie. Meanwhile, Simran is already busy shooting for her portions with Rajinikanth and the team, who have already completed the first schedule of the film. The second schedule is said to be wrapped by in 15 days, while the climax portions are said to be shot in Chennai.

The film will also star Vijay Sethupathi in a pivotal role. Apart from him, Bobby Simha and Sananth Reddy will also star in this film. Bankrolled by Sun Pictures, the music of the film will be composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
