The entire Nation has been taken over by the Kaala fever. The first-day shows of the film began as early as 4 am, and fans were mostly dressed in black attires to match the theme of Rajinikanth’s film. The film has opened to positive reviews from audiences, so much so that it is reported to have earned 230 crores even before its release. Noted personalities didn’t just go ga-ga over the film, but also gained interest in the props used in the gangster-drama.
The chairman of the Mahindra group, Anand Mahindra loved the poster of the film where Rajinikanth is seen seated on top of the Mahindra Jeep. He tweeted

Apart from wooing the audience in India, the film has also created a record by becoming the first Indian film to release in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, after the country lifted a 35-year old ban on cinema.
A few months ago, the Hollywood film Black Panther became the first Hollywood film to be screened in Saudi Arabia. However, despite the news, it is quite sad to know that the state of Karnataka has decided not to release the film, due to Rajinikanth’s comments on the Cauvery water-issue.
Kaala marks the second collaboration of director Pa. Ranjith and Rajinikanth. The duo previously collaborated for Kabali. The film has been Produced by Dhanush under his banner Wunderbar Films.
