Guess what Shahid Kapoor has to say about Arjun Reddy

One of Tollywood’s biggest hits in 2017 was Arjun Reddy. Starring Vijay Deverakonda in the lead, and directed by Sandeep Reddy, the film revolved around Arjun Reddy and his life after a breakup. The film went on to smash records and win the attention of the audience right from the day of its release. So much so that Bollywood took notice of the film and decided to remake it. Actor Shahid Kapoor, is officially confirmed to play the lead role in the Hindi remake.

However, when Shahid was first approached to play the lead, he decided not to star in it as he considered the film to be too perfect and felt that it doesn’t require a remake. Speaking to PTI, the actor said
“The first thought I had in mind was why are we remaking it. It is too perfect. But then after spending some time with the script, I thought this character is so exciting I want to give it a try,”. He also went on say that the shoot of the film will begin on October. He also said that he likes to be part of films which the audience can relate to.

Director Sandeep Reddy will be helming the Hindi version as well. Bhushan Kumar will be producing the film. The female lead is yet to be decided.
