SIIMA 2018: A spectacular event where stars descended in Dubai

Stars descended in Dubai on the 14th and 15th September to attend this season’s most-awaited awards show – SIIMA 2018. The seventh-edition of the awards show was a grand success thanks to the host of actors who attended the show, celebrities who sizzled on the dance floor and stars who promoted their upcoming films on the big platform.
While Day 1, awarded the talent of the Tamil and Malayalam film industries. Day 2 awarded talent of the Kannada and Telugu film industries.

On the first day, Vikram. Keerthy Suresh, Soori, director Hari promoted their film Saamy 2. On the second day of the event, Nandamuri Balakrishna, Rana Daggubati promoted their upcoming biopic on NTR, while Bollywood film director promoted his film ‘83 on the platform. The common link between two films? It has been produced by Vibri Media, the organisers behind SIIMA – Vishnu Induri and Brinda Prasad. While NTR will showcase the life of Andhra Pradesh’s former chief minister and actor, ‘83 will bring to life the story of the time the Indian cricket team won the World Cup. The film stars Ranveer Singh in the lead.
The event was attended by the who’s who of tinsel town. Aditi Rao Hydari won the Best Debut award for her role in Kaatru Veliyidai (factually her first role in A Tamil movie was Srirangam), she took to stage to thank director Mani Ratnam for giving her the role. Mollywood heartthrob Nivin Pauly won the award for Best Actor for his role in Njandukalude Nattil Oridavela. Rana Daggubati walked away with two trophies – one Entertainer of the Year and the other for Best Actor in a Negative role.

Among the many celebrities who graced the event Actress, Shriya Saran looked gorgeous in her pink outfit in day one, and her Shriya Som fringe gown on day two. Dressed in an off-shoulder gown Hansika Motwani won the award for Youth Icon of the year. Shanvi Srivastava looked stunning in a red Banarasi saree.
