SIIMA 2022: When Stars Descended in Bengaluru for the 10th edition of SIIMA

The South Indian International Movie Awards 2022 (SIIMA), south India’s biggest award show, was presented in Bengaluru, Karnataka. From legend Kamal Haasan to Bollywood’s favourite Ranveer Singh to Tollywood sensation Allu Arjun – stars descended at the awards night. Silambarasan TR, Pooja Hegde, Vijay Deverakonda, Sivakarthikeyan were also present at the starry event.
The event was planned and conducted by the founder Vishnu Induri and the chairperson Brinda Prasad Adusumilli and the team. An online voting mechanism was used to choose the award winners. The winners of Telugu and Kannada movies were honored on the first day, which was September 10, while the winners of Tamil and Malayalam cinema were honored on September 11.
Moments to Cherish
Ranveer Singh stole the thunder on day one. The actor, who attended the SIIMA Awards 2022 on Saturday, absolutely owned the stage. He enacted a line from Pushpa by Allu Arjun. He even replicated the movie’s iconic gesture. The actor then performed a dance routine while reinterpreting the hit song Srivalli. The actor also hilariously took off his shoe while doing the hook dance from the Srivalli song. Fans and famous people were surely amazed by Ranveer’s moves!
At the awards ceremony, Yash also expressed his happiness about the awards show being presented in Bangalore.
The Best Actor in a Leading Role (Kannada) trophy from SIIMA 2022 was given to the late Puneeth Rajkumar for his performance in Yuvarathnaa. The Yuvarathnaa team as a whole enthusiastically embraced the honor. SIIMA sent out a tweet to its followers showing the team’s cast collecting the honor. The caption of the post reads, “When Late Puneeth Rajkumar ascended to heaven, the Kannada film industry lost one of its most valuable stars. SIIMA is humbled to present him with the Best Actor in a Leading Role (Kannada) for the movie Yuvarathnaa. We thank the Yuvarathnaa team for accepting it on his behalf”.
The biggest celebrities in Telugu and Kannada cinema, like Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan, Yash, Vijay Deverakonda, and Allu Arjun, attended the event on the first day, contributing to the tenth edition of SIIMA’s grandeur and magnificence.
Overall, the 10th edition of SIIMA was a grand success. Audience indeed got worthwhile entertainment after a year’s wait. We also like to express our gratitude to the SIIMA team for the flawless preparation and execution of the event. This scale of event requires a lot of management, and SIIMA has shown to be the best at it. We are looking forward to seeing what SIIMA has in store for us next year.
