The shoot of Mammootty’s Yatra begins!

Actor Mammootty who is currently reeling under the success of his recent release Abrahaminte Santhathikal is now working on his new film titled Yatra. Directed by Mahi Raghav will feature Mammootty playing the role of YS Rajashekar Reddy, the late chief minister of Andhra Pradesh. Mammootty even took to his Instagram stories and share a glimpse from the sets of Yatra.

Bankrolled by Vijay Chilla and Shashi Devireddy under the banner 70 MM Entertainments, the rest of the cast and crew of the film is yet to be disclosed. However, it has been reported that actress Suhasini is the latest addition to the film. She will be seen playing the role of Sabitha Indra Reddy, the first woman Home Minister of Andhra Pradesh. It is reported that YSR treated Sabhita like his sister.

Meanwhile, Mammootty’s film Peranbu is expected to hit screens in July. Directed by National award-winning director Ram Peranbu starring Padma Shri Mammootty in the lead was recently screened at the Shangai International Film Festival.
