Vadivelu backs out of Imsai Arasan 24th Pulikecei

When Imsai Arasan 24th Pulikecei starring Vadivelu was announced, fans were excited to see their favourite comedian in a sequel of the hit film Imasai Arasan 23rd Pulikecei. However, soon after the announcement, the film was embodied in controversy. First, the producers of the film S pictures (bankrolled by director Shankar) and Lyca productions complaint against the actor for being irregular or absent during the shoot of the film. Soon after which Vadivelu and the producers resolved the issue amicably.

However, the actor has now issued a statement which states that he that he will no longer be a part of Imsai Arasan 2. The statement also reads that his decision to withdraw from the film is due to financial and mental issues. He also blamed producers for not giving him the freedom to sign another film till he completes this project. According to Vadivelu, the call sheet was given between the months of June and December in the year 2016, and the failure to begin the shoot as per schedule, lead to the comedian incurring a loss.
