Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha hug at the 100th-day celebrations of 96 The movie

The 100th-day celebration of director Prem Kumar’s 96 The Movie took place in Chennai yesterday. From the film’s lead actors Trisha and Vijay Sethupathi to the film’s supporting stars Gowri G. Kishan and Aadithya Bhaskar – actors made their presence at the event. Actor Parthiepan, who was one of the special guests at the event, spoke about how he never got to see the film’s lead characters hug in the film, and how the audience anticipated for the same. He then requested Trisha and Vijay Sethupathi to come on stage and hug each other to celebrate the film’s victory. And the two actors graciously accepted the requested and gave other the warmest hug! Their respect for each other was a sight to behold!

96 The movie released on 4th October 2018. The film won appreciation from fans and critics for its portrayal of estranged lovers, and the performances by the actors.
