Vishal arrested over scuffle with the police

Yesterday film producers locked the offices of the  Tamil Nadu Film Producers’ Council demanding resignation of Vishal. Producers alleged that Vishal was involved in criminal activities and that he didn’t give a clear use of accounts of the council. They claimed that Vishal violation of the bylaws of the council.

On 20th December, film personalities A L Azhagappan, J K Ritheesh, Suresh Kamakshi, Sakthi Chidambaram among others raised slogans against Vishal. Later, Vishal went to the venue and demanded the lock to be opened, police officers who were present there didn’t allow him to do so. Following this, Vishal got into a scuffle with the police, which led to his arrest. Actor Mansoor Ali Khan has also been arrested.

It is also alleged that that producer Gnanavel Raja, who was the council’s secretary decided to resign after his motives were achieved. He has been accused of misusing funds. One member said ”Vishal claimed he would get rid of the piracy website Tamil Rockers, but now it is said that he is a partner with the website.”
