Vishal opens up about Irumbu Thirai’s success and his political ambitions

Director P.S Mithran’s Irumbu Thirai which released this year in May has now completed 100 days in theatres. To celebrate the success of the film, the team hosted an event at Chennai today. The film featured Vishal, who decides to battle it out against Arjun, who is the mastermind behind the rise of cybercrime. The film also starred Samantha and Delhi Ganesha in pivotal roles.

Speaking at the event, Vishal said how happy he was to be part of such a successful film. He said his bond with the director, Mithran helped him work in the film better. He thanked editor Ruben, for insisting that he hears the story from the director.

He said he was elated to have worked with Arjun. He also said “I feel glad to have worked with Arjun sir. I received my first salary of rupees 100 from Arjun sir when I was working as an assistant director. I was only 21 back then. I then saved all my money and got gifts for my family. The reason behind the success of the film is because of Arjun sir”

He also said “during the shoot of the film, I was busy filing nominations at RK Nagar, and it may have disrupted the shoot of the film. Let me say it here, it’s uncertain if I will come to politics or not, but I want to take to this stage to say I will support all my fans. I will support people and stand by them.”

The 100-day celebration also marked Actor Vishal’s birthday. The event was attended by Vishal’s parents – Janaki Devi and film producer G.K. Reddy. Actor Vijay’s Father S. A. Chandrasekar. Actress Samantha was also present at the event.
