Walking with the Wind wins UNESCO Gandhi Medal award at IFFI 2018

Chennai based production house Trippy Turtle Productions have won a medal at the IFFI 2018. The production house produced the film Walking With The Wind which won the UNESCO Gandhi Medal by ICFT completing with 11 international films. Directed by Praveen Morchhale the film tells the tale of Tsering, a 10-year-old boy, who travels seven kilometers to go to school. During the journey, he explores socio-political hemisphere of the society and its people.

The film also won three National Awards under the category of Best Film (Ladakhi), Best Sound Design (Sanal George) and Best Re-Recording (Justin K Jose) at 65th National Awards.

The film has been inspired by the Iranian filmmaker Abbas Kiarostami and borrows its title from a book of his poem. Trippy Turtle productions recently produced the Tamil film Sei starring Nakul in the lead.
