If you are a fan of Bombay Jayashree, then certain that her song ‘Vaseegara‘, tops your list of favorites. The soulful singer who recently won the ‘Excellence in music’ award at the JFW award show, and took to the share to sing a few lines from the song. The mesmerizing number, composed by Harris Jayaraj featured in director Gautham Menon’s Minnale which released in the year 2001. Now, 17 years later the song remains memorable; thanks to Bombay Jayashree’s enchanting voice and Harris Jayaraj’s addictive music. The song even won her the ‘Filmfare Award for Best Female Playback Singer – Tamil’. She has also won “Kalaimamani Virudhu” from the Government of Tamil Nadu in 2007.
Bombay Jayshree was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Song (Oscar) for Pi’s Lullaby from Life of Pi in the year 2013.
