Over an eleven thousand police personnel including top officials are regulating the crowd in Kanchipuram. The reason? Devotees are standing in thronging Kanchipuram to visit the temple of Athi Varadar. The religious event takes place only once in 40 years, as the idol is submerged in a pond in the temple. The deity is made from the bark of a fig tree is believed to be made by Lord Brahma himself.
Now, superstar Rajinikanth has also visited the Varadarajar Temple where the deity is present. He visited the temple along with his wife Latha Rajinikanth. Over 5 lakh devotees are expected to visit the temple in the next four days!

Currently, Rajinikanth is shorting for Darbar which has been directed by A. R. Murugadoss. The film is likely to release in early 2020.
