Who will bag the best male actor award for SIIMA 2019 – Tamil?

The nominations for South Indian International Movie Awards also known as SIIMA Awards have been announced. This year is special because SIIMA has announced nominations for the year 2019 and 2020. In Tamil, the nominations for the Best male actor 2019 feature some of the finest names in Kollywood. The nominations include Dhanush for Asuran, Vijay for Bigil, Ajith for Viswasam, Sivakarthikeyan for Namma Veettu Pillai, Karthi for Kaithi and Vijay Sethupathi for Super Deluxe. Who is going to win this award?

Bigil was one of the top grossing movies of 2019. Actor Vijay did not shy away from playing the role of a father in the film. Fondly known as Thalapathy by his fans, the actor mesmerised everyone with his dual roles and was lauded for playing the role of coach leading an all women’s team. The film was directed by Atlee and featured Nayanthara, Jackie Shroff, Vivek and Kathir among others in key roles. 

Ajith has also been nominated in the best actor category for his role in Viswasam. Thala played the role of a doting father. The father-daughter sentiment. It has to be noted that D.Imman won a National Award for composing music for the film. Viswasam has a good performance by Ajith accompanied by brilliant action sequences. 

Dhanush , a young actor who has not shied away from playing the role of a father to two children. The 38 year old actor has won accolades for his role in the film. His acting and portrayal of the role in the film was one of his best performances. Asuran was directed by Vetrimaaran and has been raved a lot by the people. The film was also remade in Telugu with the title Naarappa. Dhanush is a national award winning actor and has won praises from all sections of media and audience. Will he win the award?

Actor Karthi won hearts through his massive performance in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s film Kaithi. He played the role of Dilli, an ex-convict who encounters a series of situations while on a journey to meet his daughter for the first time after leaving the prison. The film was packed with action sequences and received praise from the audience.
