Take a look at the winners from the Cinema Paradiso awards 2019

About 7 years ago, Malayalam film buffs founded a group on Facebook where they discuss films. Soon the team organized crowd-sourced awards called CPC Cine Awards in the year 2016. However, there wasn’t any official awards ceremony. In 2017, things took a turn, as the group had much more participation, which led the group to conduct an awards ceremony. In 2018, the voting wasn’t just restricted to members of the group, but the public also had a chance to vote. Now, in 2019, a ceremony took place in IMA House, Kochi.

Joju George was awarded the Best Actor for his role in Joseph, while Aishwarya Lekshmi was awarded the Best Actress for her role in Varathan. The film Sundani From Nigeria won four awards including the award for ‘Best Movie’.Lijo Jose Pellissery won the award for Best Director for his film Ee.Ma.Yau. The highly acclaimed film also won five other awards. Here’s the list of winners.
