SIIMA 2021: Movies with the most Nominations (2020)

SIIMA has finally announced its leading nominations for 2020, and it seems that all of the categories will have tough competition! With so many praiseworthy and commendable releases this year, selecting the ‘best’ will be confusing.

Tamil Movie Soorari Pottru is the top nominated movie, with recommendations for a whopping 14 awards. Soorarai Pottru is nominated for Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, and 10 more awards.

Directed by Sudha Kongara Prasad, with an ensemble cast and crew worthy of praises and accolades, Soorarai Pottru has received gushing reviews and appreciation from the audience and critics alike.

The Allu Arjun and Pooja Hegde starrer Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo and the Mahesh Babu starrer Sarileru Neekevvaru are the top nominated movies in Telugu Cinema. Having 12 nominations each, they are head to head for the Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress and 8 more categories.

In the Kannada Movie Industry, SIIMA has three top nominated movies, Love Mocktail, Popcorn Monkey Tiger, and French Biryani. All of these movies have received strong praise and recognition from the audiences. Commendable directors, writers, musicians and lyricists are contesting for the award from the Kannada Cinema.

Ayyappanum Koshiyam is the top nominated Malayalam movie, with a total of 12 nominations in different categories like Best Film, Best Director, Best Actors, Best Lyricist and many more.

SIIMA is returning in 2021 to honour notable artists who have left an indelible impression on the world with their work. On the 11th and 12th of September, it will be hosted in Hyderabad.

The celebration of cinema will feature prominent stars and people from the Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam film industries.
