This amazing video of Drums Sivamani is going viral!

You’ve all heard of the extremely talented percussionist, Sivamani, also known by his stage name as ‘Drums’ Sivamani. He is an award-winning musician, a recipient of the Kalaimamani award announced by the Tamil Nadu Government. He has collaborated with musicians like Illaiyaraja and A. R. Rahman to produce some of the finest tunes in films. He has worked on films such as Roja, Rang De Basanti, Swades, Taal, and Lagaan among others. He has also composed music for films like Arima Nambi (2015), Kanithan (2016).

Apart from that, Sivamani has also acted in films. Yes, you read that right. He has starred in a full-length Telugu feature film titled Padamati Sandhya Ragam (1987), directed by Jandhyala. Co-starring American actor Thomas Jane, Indian actress Vijayashanti, this film revolved around interracial love. The film went on to win Filmfare Award for Best Film – Telugu. Now, a song from the film is going viral.

Sivamani is seen rocking his afro hair, and sunglasses, the actor/musician is seen wooing actress Vijayshanti. However, the highlight of the video which is winning everyone’s attention is the lyrics which goes ”Life is shabby, without you dear baby” which has been sung by renowned singer SP Balasubramaniam. Shot in the United States of America, the visuals are retro, and so is the editing style.
