Oru Adaar Love Review: Teenage romance

Oru Adaar Love Review

Director Omar Lulu’s film Oru Adaar Love created a strong hype even before its release. Thanks to Priya Prakash Varrier’s wink which took the nation by storm, winning her unprecedented fame.

Going by the trailer and promotional content of the film, I thought it would be like any other dubbed Hindi serials which hold popularity in Tamil channels. It’s true to an extent, however, the film stays in the safe zone thanks to its easy-breezy plot that conveys the intention of the film safely.

Oru Adaar Love gets everything right about teenage romance. The checklist includes the couple exhibiting the following: possessiveness, jealousy, infatuation and lots of PDA! This marks the core of young love. Isn’t it? The film gives some funny one-liners and good slapstick comedy by the kids of the school. What I didn’t understand was how every student in the school is fashionable, drink liquor, tease teachers and wear eye-liner in school.

Oru Adaar Love’s way of creating conflict looks rather forced. Imagine watching a feel-good movie only to have to watch a gory climax. And imagine if you are watching this film with your love on Valentine’s Day.

While Priya is the popular one, Roshan shines in this film. His charm and expressive acting make him seem like he’s a future superstar. Another lovely actress who has a future in cinema waiting ahead is Noorin.
