It’s not often that a young actor gets a chance to act in a biopic based on the life of a legendary actor. And if life throws that chance at you, one makes the best use of it. That’s what Keerthy Suresh and the team of Mahanati / Nadigaiyara Thilagam have done in order to bring the late actress Savitri’s life story to cinema. From costumes to make-up, the vision to recreate the look for replicated by the team. Costume designer Indrakshi Pattanaik considered it as a challenge and recreated the costumes for the film. However, what’s most striking about the images from the film is how Keerthy Suresh looks exactly like Savitri. Won’t believe us? Take a look at it yourself.
Directed by Nag Aswin and produced by C. Ashwini Dutt, Swapna Dutt, Priyanka Dutt, the film is released as Mahanati in Telugu and Malayalam, while it has been titled Nadigaiyar Thilagam in Tamil. The Telugu version of the film has already released on 9th May in Andhra and Telangana.
