A. R. Rahman meets music legend Ennio Morricone

Music director A. R. Rahman took to his Instagram account to share his happiness of meeting Academy-award winning composer Ennio Morricone. The composer captioned the picture ”What an honor ?to speak about ….one of my most favorite composer Maestro Ennio Morricone. #goodbadugly50annivesary #cinemaparadiso #forafewdollersmore #hatefuleight #oscarwinner #enniomorricone#themissionsoundtrack#italiancomposer”. Ennio was also see holding a biography on A. R. Rahman which was probably presented by him to the legend.
Ennio Morricone is popular for composing for over 70 award-winning films. Some of his best works were in popular films such as A Fistful of Dollars (including For a Few Dollars More, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, Once Upon a Time in the West and Once Upon a Time in America), all Giuseppe Tornatore films (since Cinema Paradiso), The Battle of Algiers, the Animal Trilogy, 1900, Exorcist II, Days of Heaven.
At the age of 87, Morricone received his first Academy Award for director Quentin Tarantino’s film The Hateful Eight (2015), at the time he held the record for the oldest person ever to win a competitive Oscar. In 2007, he received the Academy Honorary Award “for his magnificent and multifaceted contributions to the art of film music.”
A few days ago, A. R. Rahman also met up with Sruthi Haasan and Priyanka Chopra on different occasions. The Academy award-winning composer is currently making the best of his time in the United States.
