Blue Sattai Maran in trouble over his review of Charlie Chaplin 2

The makers of the recently released film Charlie Chaplin 2, including director Shakti Chidambaram and producer Amma Creations T Siva have filed a police complaint against YouTube reviewer Blue Sattai Maran.

According to the makers of Charlie Chaplin 2, Maran had approached them with an intent to promote their film, in exchange for money. When they declined the offer, he went ahead to thrash the film. The makers are now questioning his ethics. They’ve also requested senior police officials to block his channel on YouTube, as his reviews degrade a film for his monetary benefit.

Known for his unapologetic sense of analyzing a film, and never sugar coating it, Maran has become one of Tamil cinema’s most popular film reviewers on YouTube. It has to be noted that Charlie Chaplin 2 mostly opened to negative reviews from film buffs. The film is a sequel to the 2002 film of the same name.
