A close source who worked on the film told us that apart from G. V. Prakash, there are other musicians and singers who are a part of the film. The source said ”Since this is a film based on music, the director wanted a cast who are experts on the subject. So the film will star singers such as Srinivas, Karthik and Unni Krishnan to name a few”.
Speaking to Screen Daily, Rajiv Menon has said: “Madras Beats is a musical with a strong sense of realism and a story of hope where a young person from the outside overcomes odds to succeed in a rarefied world of classical Indian music.”
The music of the film has been composed by Academy-winning composer A. R. Rahman. The movie also stars Nedumudi Venu, Aparna Balamurali, Vineeth and Dhivyadarshini. The Indian version will have a run time of 125-minute version while the international version will have a run time of 111-minutes.
