Jyothika makes a smashing comeback by signing three films

After impressing the audience with her bold and gutsy avatar as a cop in director Bala’s Naachiyar, Jyothika is keen on presenting something new to her fans once again. The actress is currently working on director Mani Ratnam’s Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, marking with her first collaboration with the ace director. After completing the film, the Tamil Nadu State award-winning actress will then move on work in director Radha Mohan’s Kaatrin Mozhi which is a remake of the hit Hindi movie Tumhari Sulu which starred Vidya Balan in the lead.

Interestingly, this is not the first remake Jyothika is a part of. After taking a hiatus of close to eight years, the actress made a comeback with 36 Vayadhinile, the remake of the Malayalam film How old are you which starred Maju Warrier in the lead. Considering that Radha Mohan and Jyothika’s previous collaboration, Mozhi earned the title of being of the best films of the actress.

Now, the news is that Jyothika has been signed on to star in the remake of the Malayalam film Mohanlal, which starred Manju Warrier playing the role of a die-hard fan of Lalettan. In the Tamil version, Jyothika will play an ardent fan of superstar Rajinikanth
